District 9.

A Spoiler Free Review!

Last night I watched a dry run of District 9. First and foremost, I went in knowing very little about the movie. I had watched a trailer a while back and had forgotten what this movie would be about.  I was led to believe that this movie would be like a War of the Worlds type deal.  I was wrong.

This movie is not a typical “Alien Invader” movie.  I am not going to disclose what kind of spin it takes because I believe finding out for yourself increases the enjoyable factor.  The movie takes on the style of a documentary.  It pulls off many different genres for one movie, very well put together.  The movie is quite dark and deep but enlightening at the same time.  If I were to say one thing, I would say that I don’t remember the last time I watched a movie where I just simply could not predict an ending at all.  My prediction of the movie kept changing as the movie went on.  That was possibly hands down the best element of the movie that is missing from so many other movies.

I definitely reccomend watching this movie in theatres when it comes out tomorrow.  If it had not been for the free showing I may not have gone to watch this movie, but I am very glad that I did.  This is definitely one of the most enjoyable movies I’ve watched in quite awhile.

“A great film, a true cinematic experience.” -Michael Greenhut

I need to stop neglecting you, blog.

My tire blew out today, thus resulting in me leveling up in my mechanic skills, making it level 2.

If isn’t enough, I locked my keys in the car so I got a wire hanger and made a hill billy slim jim.  Leveling up in stealing cars.

I feel like you are very boring, website. So here’s some deco.

Oh dear, my deer!

Behold! Update!

May 30th, 2009
by DiZiX

Today’s update is brought to you by Sunny for nagging me into updating when I should be fully capable and responsible for my own blog.

So here I am updating.  Today is the official release of the new “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” toy line from Hasbro.  Fortunately I was lucky enough to catch a few stores that broke the release date so I got them before many other people.  Of the ROTF figures I have are Sideways, Rampage, Dirtboss, Knockout, Ransack, and Rollbar.  Along with Robot Replicas Skidz and a Gravity Bots Bumblebee.  That’s the first thing that comes to mind anyways.  I have just modded my Wii and have been playing Tatsunoko Vs Capcom like a fiend.  Tekkaman being one of my favorites and Viewtiful Joe only because I liked his game.  The collection has grown rather exponentially at that.  This paragraph is really unorganized.  I think I’m updating just to update once again and I am splurting out whatever comes to mind onto this text box.  I now have 200 subscribers on YouTube.  I can’t think of anything else.

I’ll add more crap later.

Blast from the past.

Okay here I am, Blog. I’m trying. I’m keeping an attempt to keep you alive.  Updates would include a new YouTube Channel with Paulo and Justin for Reviews and our collection.  Such other things as cleaning up a scrap load of garbage in my room resulting in the rediscovery of some quite interesting things.  Much of it being visual and mentally artsy things.  I found drawings from old class notes which is always fun to look at as well as poems and other things like that.

I think too much.

Something I had written in the middle of class:  I saw two guys walking around today.  They were talking to each other in sign language.  I thought they were deaf at first but as they passed by I couldn’t help but notice that one of the fellows had headphones on and I could hear his loud blasting music.  So I thought, gee has music become so important to our generation to the point where kids are learning sign language just so they can communicate and listen to their music at the same time?  Perhaps they were mute, but I hardly doubt it.  I’m not sure what kind of point I’m trying to make but I thought that was odd.  On a side note I am curious as to how deaf people communicate if their hands are full because the other guy had his hands full and all he could do was smile back and nod his head.  What a curious thought.

A dream I had a little less than a year ago:  There I was running.  I’m not sure where I was going but I as running as fast as I possibly could.  Running up and down the streets we once walked as if time had stopped.  The streets of Bluebell Dr. and Jasmine Ave., was my path and that was where we once talked about the things that made us happy.  Yet with no sense of direction I continued to run.  My five year old chucks continually hit the cold pavement as I ran past many strangers as if I were racing them to something.  Pedestrians, bicyclists, and even drivers I raced with a fast paced heart breathing heavily yet not one drop of sweat pierced my forehead.  Jumping off walls to gain all the speed I possibly could, I was in a hurry.  My soles hitting the cement soon turned into carpet as I found myself in a long hallway.  I don’t take one second to rest as I rush with much haste.  The hallway seems unending and seems to spiral into infinite.  Finally I see a huge window at the end of the hallway and I soon jump to a halt.  I stand as tall as I can and I turn to my right.  A flight of stairs is before me and at the base, you sit, Lorilee Opiniano.  You sat there beautifully wearing that same cute white dress you wore for Easter.  I look at your beautiful face and smile as I stand before you.  Suddenly your face quickly crumples up into the saddest expression and you start bawling to me, crying and I think it’s because it’s the last time you’ll ever see me.  I quickly take you in my arms as if I were to catch every tear before they fall.  I ask you what is wrong because I want to care for you.  At that moment I wake up out of breath with my heart racing.  I quickly become filled with an empty emotion of loneliness and I instantly miss you.  I then have a flashback of holding you closely in my arms at the police station, that day Kleo got caught for stealing and I was there to comfort you and I did.  I tried to go back to sleep so I could comfort you, my little lost and found, but the loneliness kept me awake, so I couldn’t go back to you in my dream.  I’m sorry.  I’m so sorry I couldn’t come to comfort you, dear.  I really miss you.  I want to make sure you’re taken care of.

One last Scripture (one of two drafts I had written on a paper towel): Writing on a paper towel.  What can I say? Why would anyone want to write on a paper towel, napkin, or any kind of scrap paper?  It has a weird texture to write on and it tears easily, it’s quite impractical.  Perhaps it was because of some kind of brilliant idea that you quickly scurried around to find something to write it down on.  I guess a paper towel will have to suffice if a plain piece of paper is not conveniently at hand, because I don’t have a normal piece of paper at this very moment.  I can hardly say that what you are reading is any kind of genius idea that I just had to write down before i forgot. I’m sure you can tell this isn’t important at all.  The real reason is simply because I’m bored.  Funny story, huh? Sorry to say but I’m no genius with a million dollar plan that just couldn’t be forgotten.  That would be nice though.  A million dollar plan that started off on a piece of paper towel because i didn’t have any paper.  Actually I think I do have a million dollar plan! But damn! I’m out of space and out of paper towels.  Oh well.  What can I say?

Up the update.

I’m updating.  Only because I haven’t done anything with this in a long time.  I’m sorry for neglecting you, blog.  It’s just that I’m so lazy to type things, nor do I feel that there is anything worth updating.  I can say that I’m 21 and unemplyed, but other than that what can I say?  I’ll update with pictures eventually.  I’ve recently just been recording things on my Flip Mino.  Oh well I’ll see you when I see you, blog.

My computer is whacked up and I am upset as hell. I take such good care of that damned thing, too. I will so even more enraged if I find out that it is not fixable. Especially since I have too many important things on my computer. Ugh, thanks alot, life.
